Well, Keilan is FOUR years old...it really does seem like time has just flown by. I can hardly imagine life without him - OK maybe an afternoon, but not forever! 
He brightens my day!
His birthday was really great. We invited some of his friends to go sledding and then come back to our house for cookies and hot chocolate. The kids all played nicely together and us moms got to chat. That evening, Josh, Becki, Jess, Nick, Nathan, Caleb and I had a nice supper (spaghetti - the choice of the birthday boy! ) and watched Keilan open his gifts (and once again the "boys" all enjoyed the gifts he got!). He was so appreciative of all he received and hasn't stopped playing with his gifts since - and yes, that does mean he's been bringing them to bed with him too!
Family is such a gift. I love that my family extends beyond my DNA - OK that was a little corny, but you know what I mean. There truly are people in my life that I consider family who are in no way related to me except for the care we have for eachother...
