I suppose there's not a lot of new news to report. I feel quite old now that I have a 5-year-old son (who is CRAZY AWESOME!) and a 20-month-old babe (who is also CRAZY AWESOME!). I turn 30 this year and I wonder how and why it feels like "old" kinda creeps up and then WHAM there it is and it's right in your face...hmmm...
Anyway, life in the Barnes' home has been unusually busy lately. I've been cramming in tons of shifts so I can get time off to come home (yippee) and Nathan's been doing the same. Thankfully the kids have been great (minus one bad sleep night) and I'm really looking forward to some intense time with them and Nathan the next two weeks. Keilan has started swimming lessons again and is just loving it! I'm so proud of him and how he's so excited to try new and potentially difficult things. I hope he continues to have such a great attitude throughout his life - he will have some really great experiences if he does.
Caleb's vocabulary has really grown this past month or two. He's putting 2 and sometimes 3 words together and minics any word or sound you make. He is still as brave as ever which will be super fun when we go swimming on our vacation...oh good times!
So, here I sit once again...it's 3:43am and I can't WAIT to go to bed!! I should get a good sleep today since the kids will be at Kim's ...ah a quiet house...glorious!
